Brief Analysis on the Safety Operating Procedures of Slitting Line

The slitting line is a device that cuts metal coils into strips of various required widths, and then collects the strips into small rolls for use in the next process. It is an essential equipment for precision shearing of transformers, motor industries and other metal strips. Do you really know the safety operating procedures of the slitting line?

Basic requirements for operators:

1. Operators should undergo safety operation training for slitting lines, be familiar with equipment performance and safe operation methods, and can only operate after passing the examination and obtaining the "slitting line operation certificate".

2. Trainees should operate under the guidance of the master, and are strictly prohibited from operating alone before obtaining the "slitting line operation certificate".

3. Operators must participate in crane safety training (including: the use of cranes, hoists, etc.), and pass the examination to obtain the "crane safety operation certificate".

Preparations before operation:

1. Check whether there are any abnormalities in the appearance of the equipment, and whether the control buttons and switches are in the normal position.

2. Lubricate the equipment.

3. Turn on the power, start the equipment, run it empty, and check whether all parts of the equipment are working normally.

Working process during operation:

1. Carefully and thoroughly read the drawings and work orders, cut the materials as required, and do the first inspection. If you need to adjust the tool, please follow the following requirements:

(1) Loosen the locking bolts of the movable guide rail of the guide mechanism and push it to the outside of the main machine.

(2) When adjusting the tool, pay attention to protecting the blade to avoid damage to the blade.

(3) The gap between the upper and lower blades should be guaranteed to be around 0.015mm.

(4) The bite degree of the upper and lower blades is 0.2mm.

(5) After the tool is adjusted, be sure to lock the tool.

(6) Push back and lock the movable guide mechanism.

2. Check whether the silicon steel sheet meets the requirements of the drawing.

3. Push the loading trolley to the outside of the uncoiler and raise it to the highest point.

4. Lift the material coil onto the loading trolley. Pay attention to safety when lifting. Be sure to lift in accordance with the "Safety Operation Procedures for Electric Beam Cranes".

5. Adjust the height of the loading trolley, load the material to the appropriate position, lower the frame, and tighten the uncoiler. After loading, drop the trolley and pull it out.

6. Adjust the pressure plate so that each pair of scissor mouths has a suitable pressure plate to press the material.

7. Open the material coil, lead out the material head, the uncoiler rotates forward, manually guide the material through the guide mechanism and the straight edge of the pressure plate, and press the pressure plate down.

8. Adjust the gap of the guide mechanism to about 0.5mm.
